  1. You mentioned the major problem: government and corporate figures supporting this fallacy. A Utah university had an archaeological dig in Egypt, where they uncovered bodies of an elite class, with ginger hair. (They were also found as far as China.) That dig was quickly shut down by the Egyptian government. It seems that for a good while, the Egyptian government has been shipping a pseudo-history itself. I think that everybody, with any ethical courage, has accepted the Kurgan hypothesis, since the collected DNA backs that up. It also explains the unexplained early civilizations in the Americas, which cultures match those from the Eurasian steppes, and across east. Mound builders to Ziggurat/Pyramid builders.
