Any property owner should be keen on keeping their back garden in case of hard times, especially during a war, when victory gardens were once needed. They can always be turned back into ornamental gardens when not needed. Also, I would be keeping an eye on the artificial inflation in the value of real estate. It was exposed in the US, that some politicos have plans of wanting to federally tax the property owner yearly, on top of state property tax, over the increase of their property's value, considering it a form of gained wealth. That could come to the UK as well.

@Ubu987 Certain investment firms, such as Blackrock, are snatching up properties, and paying far more than its worth, in order to rent it back out. That is artificially increasing the property's value. That happened in London with the terrace houses, with shell companies snatching up the properties, and paying more than the property was worth. They either rent it, or let it set empty, and borrow on it. Russian oligarchs.
