Doesn't this seem to be the same sort of smear campaign once done by the church, about heretics in the days of yore, before showing them the stake, which is also now done by a political party about another party's members, today? What is behind this started within Christianity, and it's time to stop it in its tracks. That is why their people seem to be following a cult of the ultra-left.
