He was spot on. In reality, it is the same old three estate governing system from then, which somewhat collapsed, that is now trying to rear its ugly head again. The authoritarians never went away, they bided their time over many generations, and are now trying to retake control.
As an example, in the US, when the nation was founded, the Federalists wanted to make the US the "New Rome," which would have been a big brother expansionist government. It was Jefferson, Madison, and others that stepped in to stop the worst of that by forming the Republicans, which became the Democratic-Republican Party. However, today, both parties that resulted from the later split, seem to have become Federalists of different flavors. 1945 was when the allied nations made their move, and it has slowly been building since then, especially after 1972, and 2001.
Not many understand why the date of September 11th was significant, when that was the date that the Roman Empire was defeated by the "barbarians" from the north. Again, the allies used that to become more authoritarian, and we're now seeing the results.

It's been happening the same way in the US, with presidents ruling by executive order, and using the new laws and departments developed under previous "disasters," thus, creating a police state. A term was coined for this: "disaster capitalism," which goes back to the days of Nixon and Thatcher. It's all about controlling the populace, where digital currency will become the big step, since controlling your spending controls you. Next, are the passports, which some would love to connect to that. China was the test bed for it all, as it was western companies, mainly from the G7 nations, that developed their systems, including facial recognition. It was also western security companies that designed certain camps.
Their excuse will be to stop transnational crime, and end global warming, etc. Corporations are joining forces with the governments, with government buy-ins. According to the UN, 2021-22 is when their agenda would start. The Earth Summit meetings, starting in 1972, were where all of this was developed, and agreed to.
Right now, we have individual states fighting back in the courts, and some are winning at the supreme court level on constitutional grounds. However, the DOJ is now trying to sue Georgia over voter ID. There are no federal laws against it.
