  1. Really, the public should have seen this coming when banks started issuing debit cards. In the US, we were warned about what was coming when the gov stopped printing SS checks, which required everyone on SS to obtain a bank account or debit card so they could transfer the money digitally. Just after that, they started dropping the amount it took to trigger a red flag report over the amount you spent.
