  1. It's not about imperialism, as they claim, but a full on attack against conservatism, and conservative thought. Conservative ideology blocks progress, they think, and thus, it is the Wilsonian pro-progressives, in both parties, behind the cancel culture madness. If the Whigs still existed, today, the progressives would be anti-Whig, just as they are anti-Tory. This is why the GOP is being attacked in the US, as well, since it was created from the American Whig Party, and most of its politicos still support the same conservative views going back to the days of Burke.
