  1. We're fighting modern-day Puritans, to be honest. It's much the same divide that triggered the US during the Civil War. When the US was founded with the Virginia colony as a company, the landed planter class came. However, it didn't take long, maybe twenty years, for the Puritans to show up, who hated the land, and tried to force their religion and beliefs on everyone else. They settled in the cities and towns, not in the farm country that had been cleared. That early divide led to everything else.
