After “desegregation” in the US, it remained segregated in reality. Of course, the color "only" signs were taken down, but people stayed put in certain sections of the cities, creating ghettos, and it is still that way. It's not just black and white, but almost every ethnicity, where each will live within an area of so many city blocks. Some, who demanded desegregation, wanted it back not long after it was put into place. You will see the same happening there.
