I have a friend who has a Lebanese ancestry, and he's now a retired US Congressperson. He's half Lebanese, and he is as white as I am, but he sometimes has a tan from being outdoors. The Italians that I know are the same way. Any more, if someone has a slight tan, they rush to label them as black.
