  1. They're bought and kept by wealthy people in the Middle East, too. That's another reason they don't want to talk about it.

  2.  @SaxonSuccess  True. I know of one woman who had started a small NGO to free them, but I don't know if that is still there. She did free some, but obtaining their papers was a problem. I watched a video about Pakistan, where all the brickworks used slaves. Generally, someone borrowed money and couldn't repay it, so the entire family, including any children to come, are enslaved in them.
