  1. That's exactly what caused the change. Defendu was taught to both the US and UK military during WWII, and by twenty years after the war, it was being taught to the police. Defendu was English gutter fighting. In the US, both immigration and prohibition led to the creation of a very violent underground and black market, plus the Cold War was happening, and that also came to England. That was why things had to change.

  2. Many of the same things we're seeing today are what caused policing to change. Immigration and prohibition led to the mobs forming, and all of that was during two world wars. It was during WWII where Defendu was first taught to both the US and UK military and the police.
