  1. No tool or weapon is dangerous on its own; it takes a wielder intent on using it for that purpose. The question to be asked is, why blame the tool or weapon for a crime the wielder did? Why not arrest the wielder, and give them a very harsh sentence? Could it be, that it is because of those committing the crimes, or something about them that the government wishes to protect, say, an identity or ethnic group? The government could ban everything that could be used as a weapon, yet the criminals will always obtain those weapons, and use them against the public. Criminals care nothing for their laws.
