This book's author is much like some in the US, who are the ones behind the 1619 Project and lecturing about the Lost Cause. They do it because they try to damage those who reveal the truth about the first gasps of socialism in the US, and a new political party's ties to it, which formed under Lincoln. With the use of their carpetbaggers and reconstruction, they converted the D Party in the south into the same socialist machine by 1900, known as the Bourbon Democrats. That was why both Roosevelt and Wilson were progressives (socialists).
By 1910, the GOP tried to do an about-face, and take the party back to the old ways of Jefferson, but by 1952, the socialists, known as the New York Intellectuals, came into the party and changed it back, forming the Neocons. Nixon would have been the first Neocon president, and he was a Quaker (one of the same religious sects that helped create the ideology of socialism).
