I believe that man, in general, is lazy; some more than others. After the industrial revolution, humans have tried to find every way possible to have a machine do their work for them, and that includes learning. Why go through the work of long division, or learning multiplication tables, when they now have machines that do it for them? This even happened with the brightest in the academe, during their research for the bomb during WWII, which is how IBM became a monster with computers. . Now, these dumbed down humans have the bright idea of merging themselves with a machine.
