I've noticed the same thing. I have watched a ton of footage from old newsreels about Britain, and this was one thing that always stuck out. One would be more likely to see someone from the east visiting in a few, but there was nobody of African heritage that I noticed, and especially in farming, where all the labor was of European heritage.
The entire idea of diversity came from here, in the US, and I'd bet that it is being pushed by the banks just as joining the old League of Nations was during Wilson, where Britain was promised many things if they would join. That was also just after, what one professor called, the Anglo-American Establishment, was formed when there was a lot of intermarriage between the wealthy elite in the two nations. Churchill was the result of one of those marriages.
