Would you believe that a “scientist” at Stanford has claimed that man has no free will, and that if he commits a major crime, then he should not be punished any more than a sick person causing an accident? That is where this is slowly leading.
The article, titled: “Stanford scientist, after decades of study, concludes: We don't have free will” can be found at the LA Times.
BTW, in the US, being sectioned is called a mental hygiene order. Sectioned, in the US, reminds one of Section Eight, which is: a discharge from the U.S. Army for military ineptitude or undesirable habits or traits of character. Also : a soldier receiving such a discharge.
