All of these crank ideas were placed before the public by independent film artists, who used the movie's shock value to draw a crowd and make money. It started with flicks showing topless women, and grew from there. Each time a subject became stale, they swiftly changed the subject to something else, such as crime, etc., where they exaggerated the truth by a long shot. This began the normalization of not only perversion, but lies about the state and ethnic groups. In fact, it was propaganda. I viewed a documentary that came out in 2001 about this, where the independent producers admitted that they were behind the protests and violence over what they produced. They admitted that they placed the seeds into the public's minds at the end. With the movies came the books and the movements that followed. Movie: Schlock! The Secret History of American Movies
