@theprincipalofficer_1 Yes, that's why I made the comment. Sadly, this has been creeping forward for some time, and it's all due to a misguided belief put forth by the early globalists to increase the wealth of large corporations via trade.
I'm in the US, and have watched a similar thing occur here, but, luckily, it has been reined in, somewhat, by a majority of states, especially in the south, in Congress. It's why many manufacturers moved to the southern states, fleeing the north. Others moved offshore to escape the northern and west coast states' excessive regulations and taxes. Those that moved offshore want the appeasement, and will bend over backwards to satisfy the likes of China.
I think, in Britain's case, it's been much about appeasing the Middle East and OPEC over oil and gas. Some politicos, in the US, have been guilty of that as well, which started under Carter.
