  1. When it comes to handling large amounts of power, a vacuum tube can't be beat. Semiconductors are just not as good, and most are not capable of more than a few hundred watts, each. The large amps, etc., in radio and TV broadcasting, still use steel bodied tubes, from manufacturers such as Eimac. I was in the radio and TV service business, at the tail end of the tube days, and enjoyed working on those sets. That was in the early 1980s.

  2. At the opening of the video, they shown a K&E slide rule, and a Vemco blue dot compass. I wonder if any collectors caught this?
