  2. NK has always been in China's pocket, after the Japanese left in WWII. China wants the entire peninsula, which was what the whole Korean War was all about. First, China installed communism in the north, and it was supposed to spread south, where China would then take the entire peninsula, once it was entirely communist. China has its sights, still set, on all of the south Asian countries, all the way to India. It's just not made its move yet, but they're fighting with India now, over the land to the east of Bhutan. There's also still the standoff in Kashmir. In reality, that is what all of this is about.

  3. The US has never attacked first, and it will not now. The Constitution only provides a military for the common defense. That is not to say that there could be another Gulf of Tonkin incident, which will trigger it. Also, Kim ought to worry about being classified as a terrorist. If he is, then overt operations can be performed to silence him permanently. The US government relaxed Reagan's executive order on wet jobs, in the 90s, due to terrorists, or Trump can repeal section 2.11 of the executive order all together, if he wants, as it isn't a law. Kim is playing with a can of worms, which he does not want to open.
