Though I hope this change comes, it will be a battle with the builders and construction companies next. The first thing that will come out of their mouths after looking at your plans is, "this will cost more." It's why you don't see bay windows constructed from the foundation as a bump-out, or turrets, etc, as in the old homes of the past. Some, I wonder if they've ever built them, which I highly doubt. Think about how the art of ashlar detailing on stucco isn't done that much anymore. That was how the grand buildings around London were created. Add that to fine plaster work inside.
