  4. wiseass 5000; It seems to me that you have a lack of reading comprehension skill about the 12th Amendment. The electors are supposed to cast the vote as given to them by their state. What is BS, is the thought that an elector can pick who they want. The 12th Amendment, nor Section 1, clause 3 states what you claim. 12th Amendment: "The Electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President...." "They shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President," which is by indirect popular vote of the state. They can not select who they vote for.
