Rabbit Six Actually, the folks in Northern California have thought about dividing the state in two, as the northerners do not hold to the politics of the south. It boils down to LA, San Diego, San Francisco, etc, deciding everything for the entire state.

Rabbit Six We have a problem here, in Ohio, with the lefties in Cleveland, Toledo, Columbus, etc, deciding for the rest. Cleveland is the worst of the lot.

AverageJoe If the earthquakes keep up, the problem might take care of itself. Funnily enough, all those cities I listed are on the west side of the fault line, which would leave everything in the north and east intact. There is a theory that a bad enough quake could send that entire bit of land into the Pacific. God (the all of nature) does work in mysterious ways. In reality, it may be time for the northerners in California to petition for a state of their own. They could call it North California, just as we have North and South Carolina. However, I would pick another name, as being associated with that would be a bad reminder.

AverageJoe Yea, I had forgot about them already selecting a name. If I recall, didn't some of the Oregon counties want to join them? The way Portland has turned, it seems, I can't blame them. Just imagine not having to be taxed to support those large cities, which in turn, force the tax upon the rest by their vote.

+Rabbit Six Yes, it would, and I hope they do it. I thought that I would see Puerto Rico become a state, and they have tried several times in my lifetime, but they threaten the citizens/voters with shutting down the big pharma companies who employ them there. During this election, they complained that they didn't have a vote, and that's the reason why. They'll never vote for the US president until they become a state. They're going to have to stand up to big pharma.

They have not come face to face with the National Guard yet, where they will listen, they will bend, they will move, and they will do as they're told, unless they want to earn a room at the Gray Bar Inn. Oh yes, Rob Dimitrius, you might want to watch what you say, as it could be taken as inciting a riot, sedition, and insurrection.
