  1. It's not a church in any traditional sense. In my opinion, it is one of the longest running pyramid scams in existence, calling itself a church. Hubbard stated himself, years ago, that if you want to get rich, start a religion. It was written that Jack Parsons, L Ron Hubbard, and Alister Crowley, before he died in 1946, came up with the scam. Worshiping an alien from space, named Xenu, is quiet flaky to me. Of course, they claim that they don't learn about Xenu, until they've payed out thousands of dollars, and made it to the top. The Xenu material, from their "church" can be found on the net. Hubbard wrote it, and it sounds like a story that a three year old would make up.

  3. Rusty Shackleford It's according to the church. Do you want to make a ton of money, or be the poor pastor? A few of those whom were in it for the money were busted and went to prison, such as Bakker and Hovind. Hubbard was slick enough to stay out of it. Scientology had the gonads to use plants inside our government, and they were caught stealing records and files at one time. Hubbard's wife was involved in that case. There's court cases about them being caught. They lawyered up from the start, knowing that they would be in trouble. Notice them mentioning how that they like to sue people? If I recall, Germany kicked Scientology out of their country, they're so rotten. Any more, the IRS has rules on tax exemption for churches. I am as surprised as Remini was, that they actually received a tax exemption, which also makes me wonder what they have on somebody. It also makes one wonder how many Scientologists are in our government.
