You notice that the teacher's union president is all against it. That is because those worthless lumps she has under her, who call themselves teachers, will soon be standing in a soup line. If the school is unfit, it needs to shut down.

miata149 I had my bad share of teachers when I was in High School from 1979-1983 in rural Kentucky. I had a poor algebra teacher, and ended up having to learn it mostly on my own. Our science labs were poor, nothing working in them, and our teacher just had us read from a book, with no experiments. Again, it was another self-study class in order to make an A. We didn't gain anything until my senior year, when they finally built a new high school. My time was already over by then. This country has a very shoddy education system, and it was made ten times worse with Common Core.
