I think you're taking this a little out of context, by mixing heroin overdoses with those of prescription medications. The two overdose epidemics of Dayton Ohio and Huntington, WV were from adulterated heroin being peddled by a guy from Canton, Ohio. I know, since I live where it happened. This also made it to Cincinnati too, in Hamilton county, just south of Montgomery. We have heroin, cocaine, and pills flooding in via I-75 and US 23, from Detroit, into this area. Every drug trafficker caught in Huntington, is generally from Detroit. We did have a problem with a few pill mills, but those are mostly gone. The drugs are coming from pushers and traffickers, and they mainly come in from Detroit.
