The Mexican scientific paper, which was just published about certain species dying off, triggered a Stanford professor, who stated that human depopulation was in order, though he did state that it should be done "humanely." Funnily enough, the Nazi eugenics crowd said the same thing, so they just gave the infirm an injection, and they never woke up. There was so many, that they finally built gas chambers in hospitals, to make it more expedient.
