Ted is correct, but this has been tried before, and of course, those entrenched in congress fought it because the longer they are in congress, the more they lie in the beds of the lobbyists and special interests. Look what Hillary was able pull off with their foundation, etc, in the time that she was in there as a congresswoman and Sec. of State. Many congressmen and congresswomen are guilty of this. I would give them two four year terms, and that is it, as after all, this is why term limits were put on the presidency. Limits would get rid of a lot of corrupt dead wood, such as Boxer, Feinstein, Pelosi, Cummings, McCain, and McConnell. It would force a change in the committee heads too, which is sorely needed.
