The same sort of people did the same things under Robespierre, Danton, and Babeuf in revolutionary France. Guess what happened to them in the end? . By the way, this French mob was the actual roots of the Democratic Party in America, and they formed the Democratic Clubs. . Thomas Jefferson founded the Anti-Federalist Party, which became Jefferson's Republican Party. He based it on Edmund Burke and the Whigs in Britain. The "Democrats" joined that. . Ask yourself why the Republicans broke away in 1828, leaving the Democrats to themselves? Could it have been over their radicalism then as today?

@epic gangster Go read your history book. Jefferson formed the Republican Party, which later became the Democratic-Republican Party when Madison and the others joined it.

@epic gangster The so-called Republicans broke away from the D-R Party, and became the Whigs, which was the demise of the Democratic-Republican Party in 1828-29 during Jackson. As a matter of fact, Wikipedia did have a webpage on the history of the Anti-Federalist/Republican Party which they removed, and now have a page for Anti-Federalism. . The Whigs, later on, created the second Republican Party, under Lincoln. You can read about that on the GOP's website, or read about the American Whigs. . There have been several books written on the topic, and as I said, it was on the webpage that Wikipedia just recently removed. . The Democrats came with Madison, and his ideology wasn't the same as Jefferson's. You might want to brush up on your history.
