If he is going to fight this on the basis that he isn't an addict, then this might not be something that will be good for gun owners who are placed on certain long-term medications by physicians. The problem is the definition of an addict, and do we want a court deciding what this defines, or qualified physicians who know that there is a huge difference between addicts and those who are physically dependent on a drug, but would not act as an addict with drug-seeking behavior, nor commit crimes if they were taken off the drugs.
