I've heard some try to lay the blame for Vietnam on JFK or Ike, when our involvement started all the way back with Truman, who sent the first military advisors to Indochina, and LBJ with the Gulf of Tonkin false flag. When you look at who the president was, that actually got the US into conflicts, all the way back to the Civil War, it was the Democrats, bar the Gulf War, but in a way, one could lay the fault of that at FDR in 1941, when the US helped install the Shah of Iran, and under Carter, when the Shah was kicked out and the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini came into power in 1979. From WWII on, the Middle-East has been about oil, and who would get their hands on it. The Democrats have always been warmongers, and are who came up with the idea of manifest destiny. So, yes, the left has been fond of leaving a mess for the GOP since Lincoln, and trying to lay the blame there.

  3. There's a good bit of truth to that. One notices who's shows he appears on, such as Kelly and Wallace. He is from West Virginia, where they all claim to be Democrats, but many are fence jumpers.
