  1. The Jacobin Democrats have been segregationists since they infiltrated the Anti-Federalist Republican Party not long after the US was founded. There were several reasons why the Republicans broke away from them just a few years later, and this one was of them. In 1798, George Washington wrote to the Sec. of War about the XYZ Affair: "That you could as soon scrub the blackamoor white, as to change the principles of a professed Democrat; and that he will leave nothing unattempted to overturn the Government of this Country".
