  1. Most people's problems stem from their jealousy of those who have more than them, and an idea that others should be made responsible for their well being. When they find that the world doesn't work that way, and that it never has, their anger leads to violence and protest. Most of that thought can be laid at the parents and the schools feet, and even some politicians, because they have led the children to believe that they deserve everything handed to them, and that everyone is somehow, equal, when they're not. That is why they spend more than they have, because they think that they must have everything that their parents worked hard for, now. When they become unemployed, and the bill collectors come knocking, they do not blame themselves, they blame the lender. Worse, though, are those who think that the government must support them, that it was somehow guaranteed to them as a right, and that the government should make their decisions for them. Yes, people do need to change themselves, and learn to live in reality, by taking responsibility for themselves.

  2. Alexandra Preda: The major problem that I have noticed, in the world, is collectivism as compared to individualism. John Locke, the father of classical liberalism, stated that man was born with individual natural rights, those of liberty and freedom, and that no government can take those away. The left will state that I can't see the forest for the trees, since they're collectivists. I look at it that I can not see the tree for the forest. It is individual responsibility and merit that counts, not that of the mob ruled collective. We are what we make of ourselves.
