I wonder if those who find themselves always offended about something know that this indicates that they are mentally ill, it is within about 20% of the population, and that it is akin to pathological paranoia and hyper-empathy? I find those who are always shouting that they're offended, as being offensive, myself.
"According to a study by Stony Brook University, about 20 percent of the population is genetically predisposed to empathy — they have highly sensitive brains that respond intensely to both negative and positive stimuli. Their emotional reactions are such that things are a bigger deal to them than the rest of the population, whether it’s a sensitivity to the feelings of others, themselves, or an overall perception of injustice."__Sarah Sloat on February 4, 2016, Inverse Science.
Those who are continually offended and have a "high empathy" generally blame others for their failure, but that blame rests only in their own lap. They think that they are somehow entitled to everything, and hate the merit system.
Stephen Fry stated it best:
"It is now common to hear people say, "I'm rather offended by that," as if that gives them certain rights. It is no more than a whine. It has no meaning, it has no purpose, it has no reason to be respected as a phrase.
"I'm offended by that.
"Well, so fucking what"?
The same 20% of the population claiming to be offended, also claim they're for democracy. That's funny, as the remaining 80%, the majority in the democracy, wish the 20% to shut their traps, recognize that they're not entitled to anything, and move on.
