  1. How many people have accidentally swallowed a mouthful of chlorinated pool water? You're taking way more into your system that way, than by eating chicken, etc. that was washed. Did that kill you, or cause any ill effects? It is a safe level of chlorine used to kill salmonella, E coli, and Brucella, etc. Chlorinated water, such as swimming pools, can be more dangerous, especially if it sets within the water system, and interacts with other chemicals.
