What is God? He is not a deity, sitting on a throne. Several physicists say that God is the uniform or unified field, that creates everything, and holds everything together. That, I totally agree with. Ancient religion states the same, in that God is invisible, but permeates everything, is in everything, and makes everything. Several of the ancients, and physicists, have stated that human consciousness is part of that field. There is much truth in the ancients, and I think, a few physicists.

For the tale of Moses, we know some of it was borrowed from the ancient Sumerian epics. The Hebrew God, YHVH, or El, came from the Canaanite Elil, which was their spelling for Enlil, and that leads back to the original old Gods, Enlil and Enki, where you find the first creation tale, the first laws, and the oldest civilization which has had its recorded history studied. The Torah and the Tanakh were written after the 10th Jewish king, to hide polytheism. They mix the tales of Enlil and Enki to get one God, and conveniently change the name to something else, in most literature. Abraham supposedly came from Ur, in ancient Sumeria, and he would have brought the original tale with him. Later, more came from the Babylonians.
If one takes into account that those Gods were flesh and bone deities, and might have been visitors, who mixed their blood (DNA) with ours, that would explain our DNA shift into a hybrid, which science has admitted that they have no idea what it is that we are mixed with. Who those visitors were, I have no idea.

I couldn't have stated it better myself.
The problem is, we have devout atheists, who will deny everything, even though we now have science (physicists) stating that there is some truth to the old religious claims, and what was meant by them. The anti-religious protesters are uneducated on the subject, at best, where they have never studied it, but then they try to push their denial on the multitudes.
As you say, they do not know what you or I think, and evidently they didn't read what we wrote, or at least enough to understand it. It is always something derogatory from those types, and I get sick of dealing with the harebrained idiots.
I believe in God the creator, the invisible energy that creates all, and understand what the earth bound Gods were meant to be, of old. They were two different things. I guess that some just can not wrap their minds around that. One can tell that they have no idea about ancient history, by their comments.
