  1. I am totally for counter-intelligence, but not what was created under the Patriot Act. The break in, and the Church Committee were created by radicals to hurt the government, but the government, later, used 9-11 to legalize what was once done under the table, and they opened the door to the misdeeds that we've seen, legalizing everything, plus some. Before the break-in, information was collected and operations performed, but they really couldn't easily use it against a citizen, without being caught themselves. Now, they can do everything under legal authority, using a secret court that seems to have rubber-stamped everything.
