  1. Robert Owen, the father of the utopian workhouse, left the UK for the US, and tried to sell Jefferson and others on his ideas. He tried setting up sixteen different utopian societies, and they all failed, because they were packed full of lazy ne'r-do-wells and criminals. His sons wrote about the failures. Nobody had an incentive to work, as they lived in his housing, and they had a co-op, in that the borrowed everything, which was also owned by the company. In reality, it was very similar to plantation slavery. Owen was really feudalistic, in that he wanted everyone to live in housing owned by his company, in a co-op environment, and be paid by company scrip, which could only be spent in their company store. He came up with the idea of putting both parents to work in his textile mill, while "educating" the children from a young age in the belief (brainwashing). They even had a system of humiliation in the textile mill for those that didn't produce a quota in the UK. His UK investors bragged about the profits, and that was where Friedrich Engels obtained his ideas. They later became the ideas of people such as Babeuf, and Saint-Simon (the father of socialism), in France.

  2. All capitalism essentially is, is being able to borrow money to start new business, and the individual's right to own the business and property, thereby reaping the rewards. It created the entire middle-class. Socialists hate capitalism over greed and envy, as it takes away the monopoly from the few heads of government, and distributes it to the individual citizens. Their ulterior motive has always been a dictatorship, starting with Owen and Babeuf, where they would centrally control all products from the top, and profit from it, while demanding forced labor from the public. It was nothing but feudalism under another name.
