  1. The west, and the UN, ignored the old Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Cambodia, and numerous other nations guilty of human rights abuses, as well as genocide. The west also built those nation's industrial centers up for them, and traded with them, while knowing that the products were being manufactured by slave labor in almost every circumstance. It's really not different now, except that they allowed China to march in, and practically take over the G20, and the UN after 1972. Pollution? The UN turns it's head to China, etc. It doesn't say much about the western governments, especially now, as it's all about money to them.
