  1. The Federalists have been using political societies and activist movements as excuses to grab more power since Washington was president, and that can be found in Jefferson and Madison's letters to Monroe, as well as what Washington wrote. Example letters about this, from Jefferson, Madison, and Washington, are at the links below. They even intended on using slight of hand to make Washington look to be leading the Federalists, when Washington was an Independent. They claim that the Federalists died out, but they didn't. They hid themselves away, as either Democrats or Republicans, to gain election. . Federalism was always about a huge central government, and a central bank, from the birth of the US Government, and it had ties to Britain. Jefferson founded the Anti-Federalist/Republican Party to fight this very thing. The Democrats, from the Democrat clubs/societies, came in with Madison and Monroe, turning it into the Democratic-Republican Party. The Republicans of Jefferson left the party by 1829, which created the Democratic Party of today. The Republicans came back as the National Republicans, then, the Whigs, and finally, the Republican Party, again, under Lincoln over a thirty year span. . When the nation was founded, they had two extremes in the US, much like today, with the Federalists on one side, and the French radicals and Napoleon on the other. Washington, Jefferson, and Madison saw this, even though they had different political ideologies. They tried to moderate it and be in the center. . Ask yourself why HRC and the Democrats made such a big stink about the play, Hamilton, just after the election. Hamilton is the Democrat's idol.
