Woke, in reality, is the true mindset of the progressives, which they have kept hidden until these last few years. One can read about the history of Henry Adams, the great-grandson of John Adams (2nd US Pres.), who was a well-known figurehead of the progressives. One can read what he wrote about individualism standing in the way of progressivism, and how he was an ardent antisemite who hated banks and lending, thus, capitalism. In his writing, he explained how progressivism has much of its roots in German post-secondary education.
