  3. What I truly find hypocritical about the media and politicians, is their vaunted "democracy." Democracy is rule by the people, via a vote, but when the people vote to leave the EU, it is turned into "populism," which the media and certain politicians tries to contort into something of a bad thing. Populism: a political approach that strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups. Democracy: a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives. The public voted, a "democratic vote," and what they voted for was denied to them by an elite group, known as a parliament.
