  1. An aspect you didn't mention in the documentary but I find interesting is the economic effects on the regions. Lolland on the danish side is one of the poorest regions of Denmark. No growth, people moving away and so on. Will the traffic link and new train station create growth or will people just pass by the areas, never caring about them? Same question for the fermen island and northern part of Germany.

  2. The entire rail section both in Denmark and Germany is being overhauled. Currently Danish Rail is building a new line from Copenhagen to Lolland, accomedating faster speeds (200 km/h) as well as making it fully electric. DSB and DB use the same standards for many things on the old lines, but these new lines are on the new EU standard. I often joke that Danish trains are just an extension of germany's, often late, too reliant on diesel and so on. But the new EU stands will make it a lot better.

  6. This video is a bit sensational. They only need small ships to pass through because that's the only ships that sail from the small city at that coast and the river further down. Poland major port city is further to the west, this project doesn't help them with major shipping, they already had that, this just helps the region with smaller trade.
