  1. Google has the worst brand value on the planet. Every kid is forced to grow up with Chromebooks in school because they are cheap and trash. But every kid ends up hating chrome books and fleeing to a windows or Mac machine as soon as they get the chance. Sadly they still all install chrome despite being the worst browser on the market.

  4. Use the new sleeping tabs feature. Ram usage in browsers isn't the browsers fault, but websites that keep getting larger and more bloated as hardware gets better. Sleeping about will keep the tab open but won't make it run in RAM or use CPU when you haven't looked at it for half an hour or more.chrome has a similar feature, and every good browser has it now after Edge made it mainstream and people copy it

  7. Yes, but think about the average PC users normal experince on a windows machine. You want to install steam you go to steams website click download open the install exe Grahpical interface guides you through options let it finish you now have steam installed The majority of the world aren't nerds who interface with computers through command lines, GUI's are the mainstream, so any distro that doesn't use GUI's as their main way of interacting with them will always be less user friendly

  8. IDK They haven't really fought adblockers much except for recently. They could ban adblockers on the Chrome Webshop making it much harder for the average user to install them. But for more than a decade a quiet peace was the norm. Likewise injected ads in vidoes is something they could have done over a decade ago. Yeah Google doesn't like adblockers, but it's directly false to say "have always fought against adblockers"

  9. Edge has really great inactive tab management, freezing tabs you haven't used in a while. I wish Firefox gets a similar feature and I'll use it more on my laptop
