Kinda sad that in none of the abrahamic religions, no women are given proper prophet status. It's no wonder that gender inequality is the foundation of many societies when the spiritual and philosophical foundations don't consider women as important as men, same with women not being allowed to be priests/imans

@kobirasheed9332 well I support mroe progressive forms of Islam, but a lot of Islamic culture is stuck traditions and additions beyond the quaran. I know this will change like every religion evolves. I appreciate that you make the distinction though. A lot of Muslims I've spoken to just staunchly hold onto traditions that aren't set in stone

@kobirasheed9332 and how many of them have been written down? My main point is that the prophets and great minds are all men. It's also illegal for women to be priests in traditional islam. Places where they try and modernize Islam, like a mosque in Copenhagen that allow inter marriage and female mosques, faces a lot of backlash and doesn't get support from many Muslims. However it is likely just a matter of time. Christianity's ideas that are ancient and outdated are being discarded mroe and more (the homophobia and sexism) and Islam will go down a similar route as long as living standards for Muslims improve.

@zemma7963 giving birth doesn't create any ideology or ideas itself. I'm talking about women in leadership positions, of which there were none. God/Allah in other cultures around the world chose both men AND women to be in powerful positions. Other cultures around the globe have had much more equality historiacally than the abrahamistic religions. We are just catching up now. I think if God is just, he supports feminism. It helps both genders with their struggles. I want men to be happy, able to talk about their feelings more as well as be less lonely. Those problems are solved the same way and the same time as helping women with their oppression. God created humans equal and such we should treat eachother equal. Love to you and have a great day.

@kobirasheed9332 well then let them be imams with an exception that they don't need to pray as often? Big fucking deal. It sounds like an explanation made AFTER the rule was made. Also old women don't get periods? Why can't they be imams? What about women without wombs or who just don't get periods in general for various reason? It's a stupid rule and it doesn't make sense. "already aware of" if someone isn't aware of a prophet and no one remembers them then they weren't much of a prophet. Unless you're talking ancient history before stuff was written down ofc. And sure they don't have to mention made up people, but if muhammad and his family gave more prominent roles to the sisters, daughters and mothers in their society, then they would have been more influencial. Ofc these regressive traditions is a fault of the Christians and jews before them as well.
