  1. The EU litterally did have a deal of distributing refugees equally using quotas. The problem? National governments are too racist and far too many countries cheated and didn't take their fair share (for example UK took the fewest refugees when factoring in their population size) while less racist countries like germany and sweden took a huge burden and let in more refugees. Basically its a group project where everyone is racist and lazy and the 2 talanted kids do all the work, then eventually those 2 kids get fed up doing all the work and now there is zero coporation compared to semblance of coporation before. The racism also makes zero logical sense. The EU has an aging working population and we lack workers in the public sector such as nurses etc. Refugees and immigrants can keep population growth up and help the economy massively. The EU is also huge, so distributing refugees would barely make a dent on our integration systems. its a win-win-win sscenario. but again, europeans are too racist and it becomes a feelings over facts wedge issue every single election. Rural idiots who only see a brown person once a year voting for the racist party because they get radicalized on the news/social media, where the 1% who do crime are non-stop highlighted, while the 99% of immigrants who study or do work and pay taxes are always ignored. The racism is going to get worse and worse until our welfare systems completly collapse. No pension systems, no free healthcare. And a economy that lacks workers. And then suddenly the EU will be begging for more immigrants, but would immigrants still strive to come to europe in 50 years when we are no longer rich or prosperous?

  2. Building more houses will never ever fix the housing crisis. It will slow price rises but it doesn't fix the root problem. Evidence: London has some of the highest property prices, but other English cities also have shit house prices that never stop rising, despite all those cities not lacking housing at all. The only real solution is to decomodify the housing market. Private firms building apartment buildings should be illegal, all apartment should be social housing, where profits aren't the goal. This will allow rent control and we'll as rent being mvh cheaper when the top 1% isn't stealing people's salary through rent, but rent actually goes to maintenance and such. This will keep house prices down and the properties that aren't rented. When rent is super cheap, you have to sell your house for cheaper to compete.. A free house market will only lead to ruin, we knew it in the middle aged with the nobility, the industrial age with landlords, and today with conglomerates buying up land and siphoning wealth. Land belongs to the people, not to corporations. Landlords are universally hated, and you only solve the housing crisis by destroying landlords as a social class

(AfD in Germany, sverige demkraterne in Sweden, nye borgerlige/danmarksdemokraterne/Dansk folkeparti in Denmark. Fascism and far right populism that wants to limit democracy and treat immigrants as second class citizens is mainstream politics and has been for a decade now.

  5. The problem with Merz is that he will have to form a government with the fascist AfD. Making a center government with the SPD just isn't viable when he has criticized them so much. Therefore Merz ends up being s proto fascist, his racist immigration policies leading the way for open fascists like the AfD to gain power and influence and eventually gut the democratic framework. Also wanting to increase spending on defense but also lower taxes is idiotic. Times of crisis is never ever the time to lower taxes

  6.  @alexandruxmaris  To add to that, immigrant families, the parents might work in low skilled sectors depending on their education, but second generation immigrants, their kids, get way higher educations and the girls get better grades than the national average. Immigrant families are way more resourceful because there is a lot of pressure on the kids to construct a better future. It takes some cost to integrate a familiy in the first few years, but if you can just think one decade ahead its a net benefit for the economy.

As a dane, the Swedish Crown JS consistently worthless at the same rate compared to the Danish Crown, and the Danish crown is perfectly pegged to the Euro at 7,45 crowns per Euro. It is crazy though that Sweden keeps delaying their Euro adoption when they have no opt outs.
