  13. Any rtx gpu still smokes any apple pc because of its ability to accelerate raytracing workloads. Doesn't matter if you match a 3070 like the M1 ultra does, when raytracing cores lower the rendering times by 10x and allows rwla time previewing with raytracing

It's chip is far more advanced than the hiking watches, but have the GPS only ping once every 5 minutes is enough to map out a trail, but the ultra wants to create minute detail. The hardware is there and super efficient, apple just need to make the software. A lot of pros would appreciate this watch lasting a week.

A fancy cardboard box or lower power usage is 1% of the climate impact when the materials and exploitation of cheap labour and the earth is the biggest climate footprint on a machine like this. A ram chip failing or power supply going bust and apple replacing the whole machine in RMA will ruin the planet more than 30 billion of those cardboard boxes

  45. Tensor G2 is made on the terrible Samsung 5nm node, so the cheaps effeciency is terrible compared to chips used on the much better TSMC 4n node. This will be a beta test phone for people with terrible battery life until the G3 improves on it.

  49. Apple is the best company at making you be like "this years upgrade is not enough, surely it's worth waiting" But they make you feel that every year. Very rarely a big change or redesign. It's just boring honestly. Also your car analogy is pretty bad because consumerism for phones is toxic. No one should upgrade every year yet people do it and Apple have a trade in program for it. We need to do more to stop this planet destroying culture.
