@youaskforit Because paper money has the banking of national banks, the most reputable financial institutions right now. The backing of a state makes money more legitimate. No one uses bitcoin for normal transactions because its both too complicated, but also costs 150 dollars in blockchain fees, as the chain has gotten so big, adding new transfers to it costs so much eletricity. Visa and mastercard, even normal bank transfers, are orders of magnitude cheaper and more effecient to do.
