It's terrible in Europe too. Green energy is far far cheaper, but energy prices are set at the highest cost for the most expensive energy source, coal, in order to incentive businesses to invest in green energy to earn a profit. However the consumer only loses. Coal just needs to be outright banned but onthologically evil in the political center and right refuses to kill it

@MrTriple3D it is, you can go check nordpol right now lmao Also watch the above video before commenting. Solar and wind have dropped exponentially in price the past 2 decades

@darubra it's not reasoning, I'm explaining the EU policy. Nordpol manages the North and Western European energy infastructure. The price is set at the most expensive source to make cheaper sources more profitable. Green energy has grown because its so cheap but earn huge profits due to this policy, however its no longer needed. Yes its not just evil but also retardation and incompetence from politicians. They close down nuclear power plants when it's not neccesary, then panic buy coal and demolish villages to make coal miens to cover energy needs in the short term after Russian gas became inaccessible. It's also because of an evil canal of German companies who profited from the Russian gas deals. 2 decades with the incompetent Merkel meant Germany became dependant and addicted to Russian gas. They did this to get away from oil from the Saudis, but they could have just as easily invested in green energy instead, like Denmark did, and they wouldn't be in the situation they are in now. Basically past mistakes and bad decisions leads to mroe bad decisions today. Also suffering from right wing governments and a neutered green party currently who compromised on their ideals.
