  3.  Francis Terwilliger  Why does my geographic location matter. I was born & raised in Brampton Ontario. I played hockey for Chinguacousy Blues & I played ball for the Bramalea Bandits. Then moved to Alberta. And I’m sorry but your info regarding WW2 is incorrect. Canada entered WW2 in 1939. America in 1941. And thankfully they did. But it’s a shame you downplay the significance of the Canadian military that helped ensure your freedom.

  4.  Francis Terwilliger  I agree & somewhat disagree. Canadians today rarely stand up for what is right. You are correct, some do but not enough. But we can’t compare today to the past. As I think of Canadians (including my family) who stepped on Juno Beach. Or who parachuted into the darkness behind enemy lines the night before. Or the un-countable amount of times Canadians faced death to protect others throughout our short history as a country.

  5.  @ethics3  I’ve been to a lot of legion halls, Rememberance Day Ceremonies & studied Canada’s involvement in WW2 most of my life. And never once heard anyone say Canada solely won the war, or that WW2 was lost without Canadians. What you said simply isn’t true.

But to insult past Canadian involvement in war & veterans crosses a line that you didn’t need to cross. I initially respectfully agreed & disagreed with you & you went off the deep end.
